Privacy Policy

How Pdfing Pro collects, uses, and protects information when you use our browser-based PDF tools.

Last updated: June 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Pdfing Pro ("Pdfing Pro", "we", "us", or "our") is a free online PDF utility suite operated by Intactic Innovations. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you visit pdfing.pro, use our tools, or install Pdfing Pro as a progressive web app (PWA).

Our product is designed so that most PDF operations run in your web browser on your own device. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your documents or personal data. By using Pdfing Pro, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. How our tools process data

Each tool in Pdfing Pro is labeled to show how your data is handled. Understanding these labels helps you choose the right workflow for sensitive documents:

  • Local — Your files are processed entirely in your browser. Document content is not uploaded to our servers for these tools.
  • Server — Specific inputs (such as a website URL) are sent to our server so we can complete the conversion you requested. The generated file is returned to your browser.
  • Limited — The tool runs in your browser, but output quality or validation may be constrained by browser capabilities, file format, or industry-standard requirements.

3. Local (browser-based) processing

The majority of Pdfing Pro tools — including merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, sign, redact, OCR, and most conversion tools — process your files locally using JavaScript libraries such as PDF.js, pdf-lib, and Tesseract.js. When you use these tools:

  • Your PDFs, images, and other files remain on your device unless you choose to download or share the result yourself.
  • We do not receive, access, store, or review the content of your documents.
  • Processing occurs in your browser's memory and is cleared when you close the tab, refresh the page, or clear your browser data.
  • No account registration is required.

4. Server-assisted processing (Website to PDF)

When you use the Website to PDF tool and submit a public URL for server rendering, the URL and your selected print settings are sent to our server. We use a headless browser to render the page and return a PDF to your device.

We do not intentionally retain submitted URLs or generated PDFs after your request is fulfilled. Responses are delivered with no-store caching headers. Other options within the same tool — such as uploading HTML or using your browser's print dialog — remain fully local.

5. Limited tools

Some tools are marked Limited because they cannot guarantee full compliance or validation in every environment:

  • PDF to PDF/A and PDF/A-3 — produce PDF/A-oriented output in the browser but do not perform a full archival compliance audit (fonts, color profiles, metadata, and long-term preservation requirements).
  • Verify PDF Signature — checks signature presence and basic validation in the browser but is not a substitute for a qualified trust service or legal certification.
  • Sign PDF — places a drawn or uploaded image on the document; it is not a cryptographic PAdES digital signature.
  • PDF Summary, PDF Validator, and Linearize — provide helpful previews or basic checks but do not replace AI analysis, ISO validation, or true fast-web linearization.
  • PDF to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or CSV — export text and structure with limited layout fidelity; complex tables and graphics may not be preserved.
  • OCR PDF — extracts text to a plain file in the browser; it does not produce a searchable PDF with an embedded text layer.

6. Information stored on your device

Pdfing Pro may store small preference values in your browser's local storage to improve your experience. This information never leaves your device unless you clear it:

PWA cache data — if you install Pdfing Pro, application assets (not your documents) may be cached locally for faster loading and limited offline access.

  • Theme preference (light or dark mode).
  • Language preference.

7. Information we may collect

We aim to collect as little information as possible. Depending on how you use Pdfing Pro, the following technical data may be processed:

  • Server request metadata — when you use server-assisted features, standard web server logs (such as IP address, timestamp, request path, and error codes) may be recorded by our hosting infrastructure for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
  • Communications you send us — if you email hello@intactic.tech, we receive the information you voluntarily include in your message.
  • Cookies — Pdfing Pro does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Essential session and preference data is handled through browser storage as described above.

8. Information we do not collect

Except as expressly described in this policy, we do not collect or store:

  • The contents of PDFs, images, or other files processed with local tools.
  • User accounts, passwords, or payment details — the service is free and does not require sign-up.
  • Advertising profiles, cross-site tracking identifiers, or document-activity analytics.
  • Biometric data, contact lists, precise location, or device contacts.
  • Permanent archives of URLs or PDFs from Website to PDF conversions.

9. Third-party services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Pdfing Pro:

Open-source libraries — Pdfing Pro incorporates widely used open-source components (such as PDF.js and pdf-lib) that run locally in your browser. These libraries do not transmit your files to their authors.

  • Cloudinary — brand logos and marketing images may be delivered from Cloudinary's content delivery network. Your browser may contact Cloudinary's servers when those assets load.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — our application is deployed on managed cloud infrastructure that may process technical request metadata as part of normal operation.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service, including HTTPS transport, access controls on server infrastructure, and minimal data collection by design.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device, browser, and network environment when handling sensitive documents.

11. Your choices and rights

Because most processing happens locally, you maintain direct control over your files. You may clear browser storage at any time to remove saved preferences.

If you have questions about information we hold about you, or wish to exercise applicable privacy rights, contact us at hello@intactic.tech. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

12. Data retention

Document content processed locally is not retained on our servers. Preference data remains on your device until you clear it.

Server logs and support correspondence are retained only as long as necessary for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized according to our operational policies.

13. Children's privacy

Pdfing Pro is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@intactic.tech and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, tools, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be noted on the website. Continued use of Pdfing Pro after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
